Meet Nate and Kara Soucy, the owners of Selah Stays and stewards of Fore Fawns Chalet, whose shared passion for faith, family, and the outdoors inspired this mountain escape

About Your Hosts

Roots on the Slopes & Soil

Nate grew up in Northern Rhode Island with a "soul passion" for skiing, finding his edges on the rugged terrain of the White Mountains. The mountains have always been his second home, a place where the noise of the world fades away.

Kara is from from rural Ontario, Canada, where the pace of life moves a little slower.

She found a piece of home in Bethel, where the "slow living" culture and deep connection to nature mirrored her upbringing. When they married, Nate passed the torch, teaching Kara to ski-a tradition they are now passing down to their own "little fawns."

The ‘Fore Fawns’ Mission

With four children under the age of six, we completely understand the beautiful chaos of raising a young herd.
We believe the mountains are the best place to disconnect from busyness and reconnect with what matters most.

Faith & Connection

For us, the mountains are where we feel closest to God. Our vision for Fore Fawns Chalet is to create a space where other families

can experience that same spiritual grounding, finding peace in the quiet of the woods, and make memories to last a lifetime. Our goal is for you and your family to leave The Four Fawns Chalet feeling refreshed, reconnected, and ready for your next adventure.
